OUR ETHOS

Our ethos is to improve the mental health and well-being of young people by helping to optimise their personal, social and academic success. Through empathic listening and the building of strong therapeutic relationships our therapists use their vast experience and  skills to achieve the best outcomes for your students. Using a sound theoretical underpinning, our counsellors work creatively and imaginatively in weekly one to one or group counselling sessions, using a range of integrated models that are age appropriate, creative and inspirational. These include Person Centred, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Art Therapy and Play therapy.

HOW WILL THE COUNSELLING SERVICE OPERATE IN OUR SCHOOL?

We will initially work with your designated manager to develop a Service Level Agreement. Subsequently, a liaison person who can facilitate referrals and be the conduit for service reporting, will be required. This might be the Family Worker/ SENCO or Pastoral Support Manager. From then on your counsellor will integrate and establish themselves within your school and develop a strong working relationship with your staff.

We will need a confidential room to use regularly; preferably in a quiet location within the school.
